Chapter 2: The bumpy road

I know. Sometimes you are just like, "Do I really have to write today?" "Couldn't I just write tomorrow?" That's OK. It doesn't really matter when you finish your masterpiece as long as you don't care. My writing comes and goes. I call a big 'writing spree' Inspiration. You just get something. I'm not really sure what it is, but you get a something and it makes you want to write like five chapters at once. Now, if you're not on a writing spree then I find eating candy will help me too get in the mood to write. Just take some M 'n ms or Reese's pieces or any small candies and get a bunch and set them by your computer while you type. It will really get you to write. Your brain will go on the sugar and all that. :)

A writers journey is a bumpy road, full of ups and downs and ruts and ditches, but if you navigate it well and have some supporters then you can make it through in the end.

Chapter one: Starting with Chapter one

One day I was at a fabric store of all places and something there inspired me. Was it another book? No. Was it an author? No. Was it a magazine or a paper? No. It was a wall filled with flowers. Now that has nothing to do with my fantasy book, but nevertheless it inspired me. I went home and started to write down what would happen in my little purple notebook and then hopped on my old computer and started typing. Now, I know lots of writers have been inspired to write different ways and for some of them it was school, and for some it was an author, or a favorite book, or even a news story. But that's how it began for me, in that little fabric store.

I planned this blog to be a little helpful, to share my story, and to excite other kids who have dreams to fulfill them. And to show those kids who want to write: You can do it! I am doing it right now. To write you will need a computer. If you are reading this you probably have one. To write you will need a notebook and writing utensils. Why, you ask, do I need a computer and a notebook? So that 1. You can take it anywhere. and 2. Sometimes you just don't want to type, sometimes you just want to write. Trust me. You'll use that notebook eventually. Now just write your heart out!
